Gopher Rockfish Sebastes carnatus I have a hard time distinguishing between the Copper Rockfish Sebastes caurinus and the Gopher Rockfish Sebastes carnatus. I think this is S. carnatus as the white markings on the lateral line are somewhat indistinct and it has 3 spots on it's dorsal fin merging onto it's back. I'm not sure if either feature is diagnostic.
